1. What are electric motors?
Old electric motors are professional equipment that can convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. They are very common in life and are usually used in industrial equipment, household appliances, transportation, and many other applications. They are also an essential part of refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, cars, etc. After motors are scrapped, people usually do not choose to discard them but recycle them for reuse.
2. Why recycle motors?
Recycling used motors can reduce the impact of motors on the environment, and prevent harmful substances from entering landfills and causing long-term pollution to soil and water. Nowadays, motor recycling uses advanced physical methods to avoid environmental pollution.
Motors contain a large amount of copper, iron, aluminum, and other metal materials. Recycling these metal materials can not only avoid the waste of metal resources, but also reduce the demand for new resources by reusing these metal resources, and promote sustainable development. It is a win-win situation.
Selling metal materials recovered from scrap motors can bring high profits to recyclers, especially copper. Scrap motors are abundant and cheap and usually contain a high proportion of copper. Coupled with the rising market price of copper, recycling scrap motors has become an increasingly profitable business.
3. What motors To recycle?
Generally, common winding materials in ordinary motors are copper and aluminum. Compared with aluminum windings, copper windings are of higher quality and the profit of recycling copper windings is also higher. Furthermore, copper is the most valuable material in scrap motors. It is widely used in electricity, machinery, transportation, construction, and other fields with excellent conductivity, ductility, and wear resistance. It is a metal material with great recycling value. Therefore, recycling scrap motors with high copper content has the greatest profit potential.

1. Common electric motors recycling
The copper winding wound on the motor stator is the most valuable material in common motors such as air conditioner motors, refrigerator motors, washing machine motors, etc. Play the video on the left and refer to the description on the right to help you better understand how to recycle ordinary motor stators.
Recycling the copper winding in these motor stators is relatively simple and only requires three steps.
Step 1: Remove the motor casing.
It is difficult to manually remove the hard motor casing, so we have specially designed the BSM-50 electric motor cutting machine, which is specially used to cut the motor casing and the motor stator into two halves.
Step 2: Cut off one end of the copper winding in the motor stator.
- Step 3: Pull out the entire copper winding.
The second and third steps can be completed using our electric motor cutting and pulling machine, which has a cutting system and a pulling system and is the most cost-effective solution for recycling ordinary motor stators.
if you only need the cutting function or pulling function, we also provide high-quality single-cutting machines and single-pulling machines.
2. Car starters recycling
The car starter can convert electrical energy into mechanical energy to start the engine. It is an essential component of all vehicles driven by internal combustion engines. The car starter rotor has a high copper content, but since it has an insulating film inside, its recycling method is relatively complicated.
There are four main steps to recycle the car starter rotor:
Step 1: Cutting scrap car starter rotor for subsequent recycling steps.
- Step 2: Use hydraulic scrap metal wrecker machine to press the car starter rotor.
Step 3: Heat the rotor on the car starter heating machine to prevent the copper winding from sticking to the silicon steel of the motor.
- Step 4: The auto starter motor pulling machine can easily pull the copper winding out of the rotor after the above three steps.
3. Car alternator Recycling
The car alternator is the main power source of a car, mainly used to power almost all electrical devices. The car alternator stator also has copper windings, but because the car alternator is different from ordinary motors in structure and copper winding method, it is difficult to recycle with ordinary motor recycling machines. Therefore, we specially designed a car alternator recycling machine to efficiently recycle copper windings.
Recycling a car alternator only requires two steps:
Step 1: Cut off one end of the copper winding inside the car alternator stator.
Our car alternator recycling machine is equipped with a high-power pure copper motor and hydraulic system, and its cutting part can easily help you complete this step.
Step 2: Pull the copper winding out of the stator.
You can place the stator on the pulling part of the car alternator recycling machine, use the foot switch to control the machine axis where the stator is placed to lift, tightly clamp the copper winding, and at the same time, the pulling platform extend outwards and pushes the stator housing to separate it from the copper winding.
4. Car magnetic switch recycling
Magnetic switch use electromagnetism to start the car engine. Magnetic switch also contain valuable copper that you can recycle and sell for a quick profit. Play the video on the left and refer to the description on the right to better understand how to recycle car magnetic switch
You can efficiently recycle magnetic switches in only two steps.
- Step 1: Place the magnetic switch on our automotive magnetic switch recycling machine and fix it, then start the machine and our machine will automatically remove the magnetic switch housing.
- Step 2: Manually remove the copper winding from the magnetic switch.
5. Transformer motor recycling
Transformer motor recycling machine is a recycling device specially designed for transformers. Its use is mainly divided into two steps. Play the video on the left and refer to the description on the right to better understand how to recycle Transform.
- Step 1: Use the cutting part of the machine to cut the transformer in half.
Our machine is equipped with a smaller sharp knife, which is perfect for cutting all kinds of small transformers.
- Step 2: Place the transformer on the pulling part to pull out the copper windings, and rotate the transformer until all the copper is pulled out.
The Transformer motor recycling machine uses a special four-claw design specifically for transformers, which can easily recycle copper from transformers.
6. Compressor motor recycling
Whether refrigerators, air conditioners, or water pumps, their compressors contain a lot of recyclable copper after being scrapped. However, it is difficult to break the hard shell of the compressor with ordinary machines. To solve this problem, the R&D team of 3T specially designed two compressor recycling machines to help recyclers achieve efficient recycling in different ways.
Step 1: Use our BSCC compressor cutting machine or plasma compressor case cutter to remove the compressor case.
The BSCC compressor cutting machine uses a rotating platform to drive the compressor to rotate continuously, and then four blades are connected and cut the case. The plasma compressor case cutter uses plasma to cut the compressor case in a closed working environment.
Step 2: Cut one end of the copper winding.
Step 3: Pull out the copper winding entirely.
7. New energy motor recycling
Since new energy motors have different structures and copper winding methods compared to ordinary automobile motors, effectively recycling the copper windings in new energy motor stators requires specialized equipment with increased power and torque.. Our BSM-90 electric vehicle motor recycler is designed with greater power and torque, featuring twelve-claw and sixteen-claw clamps specifically for handling these unique motors. The operation is similar to ordinary standard motor recycling machines, starting by cutting one end of the copper winding and then pulling it out intact.
8.New energy motor rotor recycling
In addition to the stator, the rotor of the new energy motor also contains materials that can make recyclers highly profitable – strong magnets. Recycling these strong magnets mainly requires three steps.
- Step 1: Use the shaft removal machine to remove the motor rotor shaft.
Fix one end of the motor rotor on the machine, and after starting the machine, the machine will automatically push out the motor rotor shaft from the other end.
- Step 2: Use our motor rotor heating machine to heat the rotor.
- Step 3: After heating, you can manually take out the strong magnets in the rotor.
